The Heart Institute for Children Foundation is a tax-exempt foundation, dedicated to Research, Education and Patient Care. It is administered under the umbrella of the Advocate Charitable Foundation. Donations to The Heart Institute for Children Foundation are used for research (such as the Cardiac Molecular Biology Program), preceptorship training programs in Fetal Echocardiography, and the preparation of the Institute's International Symposia. The Foundation also provides opportunity to fund specific projects such as special equipment for the Fetal Echocardiography Section, the Pediatric Surgical Heart Unit, a patient care fund and similar projects.
